For 123 years, the Electorate of Hanover and the Kingdom of Great Britain were linked by a single monarch. This important historical period is the theme of the Lower Saxony State Exhibition 2014, "Hanover’s Rulers on the British Throne 1714 – 1837", which will be held from 17th May to 5th October 2014 in Hanover and Celle.
